Recycle Now posts out its message

A reminder to recycle will land on over six million doorsteps across the UK each day thanks to a new initiative by Recycle Now.

The national recycling campaign has joined forces with Royal Mail to produce the first ever postage cancellation mark that encourages people to recycle.

The mark will appear on all stamped items of mail that pass through Royal Mail’s integrated mail processors sorting machines, until June 18.

It ties in with the launch of the latest series of Recycle Now’s television adverts, and The BIG Recycle campaign which will run from June 5-11.

Waste and Resources Action Programme chief executive Jennie Price said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to remind millions of people that recycling is an everyday activity – just like delivering the post – and is a great way to boost awareness of the Recycle Now symbol as a strong call to action.”
