Recycling Lives buys compliance scheme

Lancashire-based Recycling Lives has completed the buyout of WE3 Compliance.

The company will join Recycling Lives’ existing scheme, Advantage Waste Brokers, to boost its compliance portfolio, with both being fully approved by the Environment Agency (EA).

Recycling Lives said the purchase of the company allows producers to access “a complete waste management solution”, with the ability to provide WEEE compliance, WEEE processing and general waste management within one service.

The former owners of WE3, Vicki Peck and Pete Thompson, will maintain involvement with the members of WE3 and the business.

Dave Allen, managing director of both schemes, said: “As one of the first EA approved WEEE compliance schemes, WE3 Compliance has a strong history of compliance with the WEEE regulations on behalf of an excellent list of producers.

“Advantage Waste Brokers and WE3 Compliance will be able to work together in the true spirit of WEEE legislation.”
