Remade goes to the East of England

New market development initiative, Remade East of England, aims to boost the region’s waste management and recycling efficiency, expansion and growth.

The two year project, a partnership between the UK Centre for Economic and Environmental Development (UKCEED) and ReMaDe Essex, is funded by the East of England Development Agency.

It plans to promote waste minimisation and recycling in business, and support the waste and recycling industry through encouraging manufacturers to use recycled materials, promoting green procurement.

The initiative will focus on providing business support and will undertake demonstration projects which will target the major waste streams in the East of England — likely to include construction and demolition and organic and agricultural waste — material streams that both organisations already have considerable experience in.
