Rubbish Riot Day teaches children about recycling

Hundreds of children learned about recycling with a fun Rubbish Riot Day organised by Castle Point Borough Council.

Children separate materials using magnets and vacuums

The children made their own paper, decorated hats with old textiles, helped build a sculpture from recycled material, and sorted materials using magnets and vacuums.

Councillor Ray Howard said: It was a really good day and I am delighted that so many families were able to come along. So many people were asking when the next one would be that I think it could become an annual event.
