RWM 05 was UK's most successful recycling exhibition

RWM 05 was the most successful recycling show in the UK ever, according to un-audited statistics.

The exhibition, held at the NEC in Birmingham from 13-15 September, attracted 6,554 visitors.

Although this figure needs to be confirmed by auditors ABC over the coming weeks, this would represent a 16% increase on last year's visitor numbers.

On top of this, there were a record 376 exhibitors who brought along 1,975 people making a grand total of 8,529 people who attended RWM 05 (subject to audit).

Event director Steve Crowhurst said: "I am absolutely delighted that RWM is the number one show and exhibition in the recycling industry.

"Apart from the stands and outdoor exhibition area, we also had a packed seminar theatre for many of the sessions, the new employment zone proved an attraction and we even had a celebrity visit from TV presenter Penney Poyzer.

"It is a tribute to all the team involved in organising the show that their hard work led to such a fantastic event."

The statistics should be confirmed in a month or so.
