Sagem appoints CSK for WEEE obligations

Sagem UK has appointed CKS Group to take care of its obligations under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive.

As a major player in Europe’s communications and consumer industries, Sagem UK has appointed the Bracknell-based outfit to deal with its end-of-life electrical and electronic assets.

CKS will also act to indemnify Sagem against other end-of-life disposal issues, including data protection and data privacy responsibilities.

Sagem UK national service manager Stuart Wright said: “At Sagem, we take our environmental and corporate social responsibilities (CSR) very seriously, which is why we have appointed a company like CKS. It has an excellent and long-standing reputation for extremely high standards within its business processes.”

CKS has established itself as one of the UK’s leading end-of-life information technology asset management companies by focusing on the environmental and CSR issues of business users, from corporate, services providers to manufacturers.

CKS Group sales director David Sutcliffe said: “We’re very pleased to have been appointed by Sagem UK. With our holistic approach and risk management skills, CKS are very well positioned to help Sagem UK traverse the complex compliance issues affecting supply chain costs, risks and asset values.”
