Scottish Environmental Services Association launches waste manifesto

The Scottish Environmental Services Association (SESA) has called for greater private sector investment for waste infrastructure and closer alignment of energy policy from the next Scottish Parliament in its new manifesto.

SESA’s: Scotland Decides: A manifesto for the green economy document outlines six priorities for the waste sector, which must be addressed by the next Government. These include a “technology-neutral policy framework” in order to drive private investment, speeding up of the planning process and a target for green public procurement.

SESA executive committee chairman Colin Paterson said: “SESA’s manifesto sets out the policies the next Scottish Parliament needs to implement so this investment and the job creation that goes with it can happen.”
