Shanks seminar a success

Shanks has labelled its free seminar event a success, attracting more than 200 delegates. Marketing manager Austen Lees said: We were once again amazed by the level of interest in our seminars. There is a real desire for this kind of event in the market - people are now looking for information as well as service. The seminars were held at Woburn Safari Park and High Point conference in Leicester, and were designed to ensure that all attendees were fully informed on topics such as the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive and the pre-treatment legislation. Delegates heard presentations from the Environment Agency as well as one of Shanks environmental consultants, C&P Environmental, with a lively question and answer session at the end of the day. Commenting on the day, Shanks sales and marketing director Robin Stevenson said: We recognise the importance of communicating with our customers. Events such as this reinforce the work we are doing to provide a range of services designed to enable customers to maximise the amount they recycle and reduce the amount of waste they send to landfill.
