Sita appoints new CEO

From October 1 David Palmer-Jones will be the new chief executive officer of Sita UK, the recycling and waste management subsidiary of Suez Environnment.

He will succeed Per-Anders Hjort who, after five years as CEO of Sita UK, will continue his collaboration in the development of the waste activities of Suez Environnement.

Palmer-Jones joined the group in 1989, where he has held several positions working on the business development of its waste activities in the UK, France and Sweden. Appointed CEO of Sita Sweden in 2003, in 2006, he was chosen to direct the industrial and commercial operations of Sita with a focus on recycling, compliance with regulatory standards and meeting customer expectations for environmental solutions.

Per-Anders Hjort will remain with Suez Environnment as chairman of Sita Scandinavia, chairman of the advisory board of Sita UK and a member of the executive committee.
