A Northern Ireland skip hire company and two former directors have pleaded guilty to the illegal deposit of waste.

Ace Bates Skip Hire, based in Belfast, and former directors, Gary Bates and Thomas Bates, pleaded guilty at Belfast Crown Court on 9 January.

The company also pleaded guilty to keeping controlled waste in a manner likely to cause pollution of the environment or harm to human health.

The case was brought by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency. The charges relate to offences between May 2007 and August 2011.
