SkipLift announces £1m expansion

Stockport skip hire company, SkipLift, has announced a £1 million expansion programme.

The company  was only launched last summer but has already seen positive sales growth. It plans to purchase six additional Mercedes-Benz trucks to boost its fleet, which is currently handling over 500 skips throughout Greater Manchester, Cheshire and the North West.

SkipLift Managing Director Barry Kilroe said: “We have decided to invest further in SkipLift because the business has exceeded our expectations. We will take possession of the new vehicles before summer and provide customers with a better service and turn-around times.”

Construction waste is returned to the company’s Junction 25 Recycling plant next to the M60, which it claims is one of the most modern in the UK. The timber and concrete collected is reprocessed and reused in the building industry.
