After winning the northern category in July, Jonathan Straight moved forward to the national competition where he went head to head with other regional winners. After impressing judges with his innovative approach towards his business and industry, Straight walked away with the title.
Judges Panel chairman Rt. Hon. Lord Young said: Jonathan is a creative business leader who foresaw growth in his sector, took an unpaid job in order to learn about his industry and is now a market leader.
Straight, the company that Jonathan formed states its mission as supplying the market with innovative recycling wares and has already delivered more than 10 million kerbside containers to clients in the UK alone.
A jubilant Jonathan Straight said: The competition was very tough and the judges are all accomplished leaders in their fields.
I am over the moon to have won this very prestigious award but would like to share this success with all of my team for their unbending and loyal commitment.
