The runway to success

Next time you're on an aeroplane coming into land, don't just fasten your seatbelt and suck on boiled sweets - make sure you look out for recycling contract opportunities.
One waste management worker did just that, and his firm has since secured a major deal.
The ACM man was flying into Stansted airport when he spotted a new building. Once on the ground, he identified it as a Radisson SAS Hotel and contacted ACM chairman Barry Bolton, who closed the deal to provide its waste management.
Bolton said: "The hotel committed to an ACM Complete Care Programme that involved the installation of a leak-proof waste compactor for general waste and a twin chamber baler for recyclable materials."
