True iron lady appointed by metals organisation

Lindsay Millington has been appointed director general of the British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA).

For the past 15 years, Lindsay has represented ferrous and non-ferrous metals companies as chief executive of Metals Industry Skills and Performance (MetSkill).

BMRA president Peter Brookes said: "With a proven track record in related industry appointments, Lindsay is already known to many BMRA member companies.

"I am sure she will quickly stamp her metals industry experience, dynamism and personality on this increasingly demanding and influential appointment."

Rick Wilcox, who has acted as caretaker director general after Neil Marshall left in February, will focus solely on leading the Wood Recyclers Association.
