The first investment has been made by a dedicated recycling venture capital fund.

Oakside Logistics from Bristol is to receive £350,000 in investment from the Recycling Fund, which was set up by the Waste and Resources Action Programme and managed by Impax Asset Management.

Oakside helps its customers comply with the End-of-Life Vehicles and the Hazardous Waste Directives.

Oakside managing director Richard Brown said: We will be able to recover significant further tonnages each year as a result of this investment.
