Veolia’s UK waste management arm has appointed a new CEO.
Veolia Environmental Services (VES) UK has confirmed that Estelle Brachlianoff was appointed to the position in July, taking over the role from Jean Dominique Mallet. Mallet has been appointed senior vice-president of VES in Paris.
Brachlianoff was previously head of waste management for VES in the Greater Paris area. She joined Veolia Environnement group in 2005 as Special Advisor to the CEO of Waste Management.
Her background is in road and tram infrastructure projects. She also served as an adviser on transport and development with Paris’ regional government.
The departure of Mallet leaves a vacancy at the Environmental Services Association (ESA) where he served as chair from November 2011.
ESA’s immediate past chair, Shanks managing director Ian Goodfellow, will take over as acting chair and the board will make arrangements at its next meeting for a new election.
