A kerbside scheme in West London is piloting collecting kitchen waste, run by ECT Recycling.
Organics in West London (OWL) Recycling was established by a partnership of local authorities, business and environmental organisations through London Remade. The year-long scheme will see organic waste, along with dry recyclables, collected from 3,800 homes in the London boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hounslow and Richmond and eight Sainsburys supermarkets.
