Viridor has created a new position of director of sales and marketing and says it reflects the company’s “ambitious growth strategy”.
The post has been filled by Tracy Burtwell, left, who joins Viridor from Tyco UK & Ireland, where she was sales director and vice-president for the sister company Tyco Retail Solutions.
Viridor says it is building on its current £1.5bn investment programme in recycling and energy recovery infrastructure and support services, serving local authority and business customers across the UK.
Chief executive Ian McAulay said: “I’m pleased to welcome another new colleague of such high calibre and we look forward to working with Tracy. Her expertise and experience will provide a valuable addition to the Viridor team in this important area for our ambitious business.”
Tracy Burtwell said: “I believe the company is ideally placed to take the advantage of many new opportunities that are developing in our markets. With the current investment in vital infrastructure and services, we can offer greener and more efficient services for customers across the UK.”
