Wales' businesses get handy hints

High levels of confusion over waste management laws have led to businesses in Wales being aided with weekly leaflets.

The Centre for Business Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability and Society (BRASS) is publishing the guidance after conducting a survey of 2,000 firms with Environment Agency Wales.

BRASS project manager Lori Frater said: "So many companies asked for some basic advice during the survey, we felt it necessary to provide some general guidance on waste management."

The leaflets will be published in three series, the first of which was published January 7. All the leaflets include basic tips on reducing the cost of waste disposal, as well as the alternatives to landfill available to businesses.

The leaflets can be viewed on the BRASS website: www.brass.cf.ac.uk
