WEEE export accreditation to help IFP business expansion

International Forest Products UK (IFP) now has accreditation to export WEEE waste and plans to use this to help it expand its plastics export division.

The company said over the past 12 months there had been a “dramatic” increase in business in its plastics division – which was only set up in 2008.

IFP is a 30-year-old, family owned American business with its UK office operating from Berkshire.

The company said in a statement: “It is an obligation of the companies involved in the trade of e-waste to ensure that it is dealt with responsibly and is one that IFP takes very seriously.”

IFP also said it would assist UK recyclers of WEEE to maximize the rebate value of the plastics recovered.
