WLC to open learning resource centre for schools

West London Composting (WLC) is to open a learning resource centre for neighbouring schools later this year.

The centre, at what WLC claims is the largest in-vessel composting facility in the country in Harefield, will show students what happens to waste when it arrives on site and how the composting process works. They will be given a tour of the facility, and also get involved in a question and answer session with WLC experts.

Each child will also be given a WLC goody bag containing information on recycling organic waste and stationery made out of recycled materials.

Initially, the learning resource centre will be made available to Hillingdon schools.
