Worker dies at Recresco site

A 25-year-old male employee has been killed at glass recycler Recresco’s site at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.

Yesterday morning, the worker died in an incident involving a forklift truck on the premises. According to the Liverpool Daily Post, the man was crushed to death when the truck fell on him.

A Cheshire police spokesperson said: “The deceased’s next of kin have been informed and Cheshire police have liaised with the health and safety executive (HSE) and HM Coroner.”

The HSE is currently investigating the incident.

Rescresco’s site in Cheshire is one of three glass reprocessing plants across the UK with the other two located in Southampton and Nottingham.
