EBRD invests in Romanian recycling industry
Nearly €7m (£5.53m) have been invested in recycling in Romania by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The money will support the building of the an integrated recycling park, the Green Group.

Scholz sells of aluminium and stainless steel businessses
The Scholz Holding GmbH has announced the sale of its aluminum and stainless steel business. The scrap metal company, based in Essingen, Germany, had said it intended to sell off the businesses that it considered noncore assets as a step in the process to realign and restructure the company.
Aceros Arequipa turns to profit
Peru’s largest steel producer Aceros Arequipa posted a net profit of 19.29m Peruvian nuevo soles (£4m) in the second quarter of 2014 from a net loss of 47.37m soles a year ago. Sales jumped 16.2% year-on-year to 548m soles.
PolyVulc USA seeks buyer for rubber recycling business
PolyVulc USA is mulling the sale of its primary business and two rubber recycling subsidiaries - PolyVulc Tire Recycling and Winnsboro Rubber Recycling. PolyVulc has partnered with Heritage Equity Partners to manage the transactions.
Up to 80% of waste paper recycled in Finland
Finland recycled up to 80% of paper and paperboard in 2013. It was a new record for the country’s paper recycling industry. Finns are increasingly sorting and recycling their paper and paperboard waste.
Integrated disposal centre to be set up in Thailand
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in Thailand will set up an integrated waste collection centre on an area of almost 1km².
The On Nut garbage disposal unit will handle about 10,000 tonnes from 20 districts every day. The centre is will also treat wastewater.
