WRAP seeks best waste transport practice

Waste management contractors have been invited to take part in research to find the best logistical construction waste practices.

The Waste & Resources Action Programme will embed consultants with these companies who will observe and report on how they transport waste to and from sites.

Materials recycling programme manager Mike Falconer Hall said: Were working with waste management companies to support the construction industry as it drives towards halving the amount of waste it sends to landfill by 2012.

Its a chance for us to identify the good work that is already being done as well as trial innovation but its also an opportunity for waste contractors to show their potential new customers how they can streamline their processes and provide them with a value-added service.
