IP for AD changes hands

Doosan Enpure has acquired the intellectual property (IP) rights and know-how for Ros Roca waste treatment processes relating to food waste anaerobic digestion (AD).

It acquired the IP from the administrators of Imtech Water, Waste & Energy.

This strengthens Doosan’s sludge capability to offer engineering, procurement and construction contracting and consultancy services for food waste AD developments in the UK and overseas.

The acquisition includes some major references for projects across Europe and Asia, including Spain, Austria, Sweden, Portugal and the UK, along with the first food waste AD and invessel composting facility in Hong Kong.

Avtar Jirh, managing director at Doosan Enpure, said: “We have been looking to expand our services and competitiveness for our clients to include food waste digestion that generates renewable energy, so we are delighted to have secured the Ros Roca capability.”
