What is your product/technology?
The Lindner Komet HP range of improved secondary shredders for SRF production.
How does it work?
High speed granulation of recycling residues for the production of cement grade SRF and massive throughput shredding for RDF production.
Where would it ideally be used?
Anywhere producing SRF.
How is it different?
Based on the Lindner Komet machines, the improved versions use cutting edge design and development and can now shred up to 18 tonnes per hour of -30mm cement grade fuel.
What benefits does it offer?
The machines offer twice the throughput of our competitors’ models, along with space saving design coupled with ergonomically designed maintenance access.
Where has it been used?
There are 10 in operation in Germany and Austria. The first UK machine (K2200HP) was sold to Premier Waste UK at the RWM show in Birmingham this year, with the second ordered by Wastebeaters (K1100HP) also at the show. Installation is imminent in both cases.
Cost?
From around £250,000 to around £475,000 dependant on model and final technical specification.
Any savings?
These machines provide massive throughput in comparison to competitors’ machines. They are proven equipment using market leading award-winning technology.
What about maintenance?
The Komet HP range offers the lowest cost per tonne in production costs in the marketplace. Mach Tech Services offer a 24 hour service helpline. And where we can’t fix problems remotely, we will visit the customer within 24 hours. Keeping our customers’ downtime to a minimum is our priority.
What is its life span?
It has approximatley 30,000 operating hours before major work is required to restore the equipment.
Any future applications?
SRF is a major market for Mach Tech Services. Our shredders are used in 90% of facilities producing SRF in the UK.
How many have you sold and where?
To date we have sold two of the new range since launching at RWM this year.
