Arduous work for handler

Kramer’s 3507 loader

The waste management division of County Durham-based John Wade Group has added a Kramer telehandler to its mobile plant fleet.

Having operated a pair of Kramer 850 wheeled loaders since 2013 at its Aycliffe Quarry site, when the time came to replace an ageing telehandler at the Drinkfield waste transfer station, Darlington, the company opted to replace it with one of Kramer’s 3507 compact models.

Supplied by local dealer KevinWalker On Site Plant Services, the 3507 is now used every day of the week.

The company describes the work involved as arduous but, after just a few weeks on-site, machine operator Malcolm Tate said: “For its size, the 3507 digs and pushes like a dream and is a real pleasure to operate, with excellent all-round visibility, an easy to use joystick control for front-end functions and an air conditioned cab.”

The 3507 is mainly used as a fetch and carry machine but, with an ability to lift 3.5 tonnes to a maximum height of 7m, it can also load trailers when required.
