Automated bin cleaning

Vip bin cleaning

VIP Bin Cleaning has designed, manufactured and installed of its first large in situ automatic bin cleaning wash line for environmental solutions provider BPR Group at its Purfleet premises.

The remit was for a high-quality, environmentally friendly wash line that was more efficient than BPR’s previous system. The line was designed by VIP in conjunction with BPR manufacturer Hugh Cranes.

The wash line can clean up to 500 240- and 360-litre bins, externally and internally, a day in a completely automated set-up that utilises conveyor loading systems and computer-controlled jet washing. All water used is filtered and recycled throughout the process.

The machine is built and manufactured using a galvanised skeleton and aluminium panelling. Bins are loaded via pneumatic air-controlled rams, and safety features include automatic trip switches, laser trip switches and manual override systems.

Bill Swan, managing director of BPR Group said: We asked for a system that was effective, high quality, environmentally friendly and more efficient than our previous system. All the water used is filtered and recycled throughout the process and the system can clean up to 500 bins a day.”
