Britaniacrest Recycling, a skip hire and waste management service based in West Sussex and East Surrey, has invested in a new MRF, with a Mac 110L/1 baling press.
The Mac 110L/1 is designed for baling municipal solid waste and other aggressive materials. The plant processes a range of waste, such as aggregates, chipped wood, metal, glass, paper, plastics and plasterboard. It currently recycles more than 88% of material but wants to boost this figure.
Britaniacrest is currently baling 40 tonnes of black bag waste an hour with the press. By maximising bale weight, it has reduced the number of vehicles required and the quantity of baling wire used.
