Being flexible on haz waste

Mercedes Benz Actros 2000

As part of an ongoing investment in its UK operations, global waste processor Remondis has introduced three 26-tonne trucks and one articulated vehicle to its fleet.

Operating on a shared load basis, the vehicles will provide organisations with greater capacity and flexibility to manage their hazardous waste pick-ups.

The Mercedes-Benz Actros vehicles (above), designed for long-distance journeys, can carry 26 pallets when connected to a drag trailer. Such flexibility means the drag can remain with customers for loading while the truck undertakes additional collections.

Marcus Bauer, joint managing director of Remondis UK, said: “Customers can manage their waste streams on a timescale that fits their business needs at a cost-effective price.”
