Bins for use on the go

Passenger transport executive Merseytravel has renewed its contract with B&M Waste Services for a further three years.

Merseytravel provides strategic and operational transport advice to the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, and is its delivery arm.

To further increase recycling and divert waste away from landfill, Merseytravel is introducing recycling, glass and general waste bins at tunnels, bus stations and ferry terminals.

Mick Ashall, B&M director, said: “A significant number of people use the Merseytravel sites each year, and with a high footfall comes a high level of waste.”
