C&D waste becomes useful products

2000 powerscreen

The Bristol and Avon (B&A) Group has become one of the UK’s first major transport and waste management companies to receive the Powerscreen Premiertrak R400X at the company’s new aggregate facility at Hallen, near Bristol.

C&D recyclable materials, comprising mainly concrete, brick rubble and tarmac, are delivered to the aggregate processing area. All materials are prepared before being fed into the R400X to make the required recycled products.

The R400X is designed to be easy to use, maintain and service, helping to improve on-site safety. B&A’s equipment incorporates a hydraulic release jaw, hydraulic jaw flipper plate, magnet and side fines conveyor.

Martyn Yarde, sales manager at distributor Blue Machinery, said: “Depending on feedstock and jaw settings, the Premiertrak R400X can easily achieve 300-400tph and produce circa 3,000-4,000 tonnes in an average day.”
