Chopper uses less power

Recent advances in electrical components have made it possible for Eldan to develop a frequency drive version of its Super Chopper with a significantly lower power consumption and price than previous models.

The heavy-duty pre-chopper can be used on most materials such as tyres without prior de-beading, cables and electronic and electrical waste, refrigerators, aluminium, municipal solid waste, wind turbine wings (cut-off), plastics and industrial waste.

The Super Chopper Frequency Drive has the same strength, capacity and function as the hydraulic version, but start-up power is less than 10% of nominal KW, while average power consumption is reduced by 50-60%.

The Super Chopper is available as a single and twin rotor and there is also a heavy-duty version.
