A Terex Finlay J-1170 jaw crusher is driving increased performance with reduced running costs at a Lancashire company. Since its arrival the crusher is proving its worth for MJ Teale Plant Hire, a waste management firm that also offers recycled aggregates and bulk soil disposal services.
Processing construction and demolition waste, the plant is producing a 6F2 crushed material at a rate of 200 tonnes an hour.
Mick Teale, managing director, said: “Not only have we seen a saving in the amount of fuel we use but also in the amount of downtime. We are crushing material quicker and seeing a cleaner end product.”
A compact and aggressive tracked primary jaw crusher, the J-1170 features a heavy-duty, variable speed vibrating grizzly feeder (VGF) and integrated pre-screen, giving exceptional production in demolition and recycling.
At the heart of the machine is a robust, hydrostatically driven Terex jaw chamber that provides high capacity with large reduction ratios. The automated VGF makes sure there is a continuous feed to the crushing chamber for optimal production.
