Dewater equipment extracts rag and grit

Irish drainage specialist JC Enviro wants to expand its business while reducing its dependence on landfill, so has invested in G:MAX mobile dewatering equipment from waste solutions company CDEnviro. The unit will allow the extraction of rag and grit from a variety of waste water systems, including digester cleanouts, storm tank cleaning and gully waste.

The dual-stage washing and recycling system dewaters all the solids with the aim of decreasing the amount of material JC Enviro sends to landfill by around 80%. The mobile unit also allows the company to reduce its carbon footprint by dewatering material directly onsite.

The two companies have been working together since 2013. JC Enviro took part in a trial of a mobile unit to test its material, and then CDEnviro designed a mobile unit specific to JC’s processing needs and abilities.

The G:MAX mobile unit will be installed at the company’s headquarters in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, early this year.
