Efficient container compaction

To underlined its commitment to health and safety at its reuse and recycling centres across north London, LondonEnergy has introduced a programme of improvements.

The first sees an investment of almost £400,000 in four JCB 5CX backhoe loaders. The 5CX, which prides itself on “more height, greater reach, better visibility”, provides the company with greater flexibility than existing mobile plant.

The 7.10m excavator arm with a multi-purpose jaw bucket allows containers to be compacted efficiently, improving the payload.

Integrated stabiliser legs can raise the machine by up to 400mm to provide improved visibility and reach.

The JCB 5CXs are fitted with a number of safety benefits, such as a protective rear screen to shield the operator from flying debris. The EcoMAX engines produce virtually no particle pollution in exhaust gases.
