LondonEnergy has taken delivery of two BMW i3 electric vehicles (EVs) at its energy recovery EcoPark in north-east London. Four charging points have been installed to ensure availability, and the energy is generated from household waste brought to the facility.
Peter Sharpe, managing director, said: “We are pleased to support the future of a cleaner and more sustainable environment.”
The EV provides a travel range of 125 miles from a single charge, is low noise and its energy efficiency makes it ideal for business use in urban environments.
The BMW i3 is manufactured using 100% energy from renewable sources and 95% of the material used to produce the car is recyclable.
