Energy from burnt wood system for smaller firms

Reducing waste while generating energy and extra income is now possible for independent waste management companies as Worcester-based Ecotec Services has designed and installed the first affordable and Waste Incineration Directive-compliant energy-from-waste system.

The systems allow grade A, B and C waste wood to be safely and legally burned using a unique filtration system that captures and kills obnoxious emissions. The systems are eligible for the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive scheme and will provide a return on investment within three years.

Mike Wall, Ecotec director said: “We handled all permitting, design, supply and installation, together with a full maintenance and service package.”
