High-reach extends demolition offering

Collins Demolition has taken delivery of its first high-reach machine: a Volvo EC 380E HR, fitted with a Rotar RSS20 scrap shear (pictured). The equipment’s first job will be in Chester on a three-story steel-framed building in the town centre.

Scott Craddock, Collins director said: “Owning our own high-reach strengthens our demolition offering and will help us to cut costs associated with hiring one. It is a welcome addition to our continually expanding range of equipment.”

Available through Worsley Plant, the Volvo’s tool weight capacity is three tonnes and it has a 23m reach. With an extendable undercarriage and digging arm, which can be changed easily to the high reach arm, it also features a tiltable cab which is fully guarded, with bolt-on side protection and water/dust suppression.
