Impressed by performance

2000 sanders terex finlay j 1170

Sanders Plant and Waste Management, based in Morpeth, Northumberland, had a Terex Finlay J-1170 crusher out on demonstration last summer. Managing director Carl Sanders was so impressed with the machine’s performance that he bought the crusher there and then, and it never left the site.

The J-1170 is processing inert demolition waste brought to the site from across Northumberland and Tyne and Wear. Sanders said: “We’ve processed and sold material far faster and more efficiently than we managed to achieve previously.”

At a rate of 120 tonnes an hour, the Terex Finlay J-1170 is crushing material to 50mm as well as separating the fines.

The compact and aggressive tracked primary crusher features a hydrostatically driven Terex jaw chamber providing high capacity with large reduction ratios. Other features include a variable speed VGF and integrated prescreen, suited to recycling applications, as well as quarrying, mining and demolition
