Label liner made from recycled PET

Pressure-sensitive labelling material supplier Avery Dennison is to launch a label support (liner) made from recycled PET (rPET) in Europe.

The liner uses carefully selected post-consumer waste (PCW) and will be introduced this month across a number of self-adhesive constructions.

Jasper Zonnenberg, global director for films, said the introduction of PCW rPET requires careful management during liner production to match the stability and robustness that 100% virgin resin PET liner is known for.
