ESE World has designed a 1,100-litre waste container with a split lid, meaning there is less noise during opening and closing and fewer problems with lids remaining open. The smaller front lid is ergonomic and can be opened with less effort than a large flat lid.
Its construction allows movement of the front lid up and down, which means the split lid avoids contact with the lifting device or with waste in the filling hopper.
More efficient stock-keeping can be carried out using changeable colours while maintenance is reduced.
Separately, ESE World has been presented with a Blue Angel certificate at the RAL Institute. Blue Angel is awarded for the eco-friendliness of plastic bins for waste and recyclables, and is owned by the German federal ministry for the environment, nature conservation, building and nuclear safety.
The container has to be made from at least 80% recycled plastics. The material has to be certified according to EuCertPlast criteria, which means the origin of the material and the entire supply chain need to be traceable. The production site and its processes have to be certified by an accredited institution.
