Measurement of three gases in-situ

Environmental and industrial measurement company Vaisala has introduced the world’s first in-situ 3-in-1 biogas instrument for measuring methane, carbon dioxide and humidity in demanding environments.

The compact MGP261 is Ex certified up to zone 0, meaning it can be installed in explosive atmospheres.

Based on Vaisala’s CarboCap technology, the multigas instrument is optimised for biogas production processes such as anaerobic digestion and landfill gas utilisation. It offers real-time gas composition without sample extraction or treatment, enabling measurements without any sampling lines, pumps or moisture removal traps.

The MGP261 helps biogas plant operators to gain comprehensive control over their process and optimise their combined heat and power engine performance.

It is easy to use and can be fitted to any existing system. Its design is resistant to chemicals and the metal body is IP66-rated.
