Minister visits new hire depot

Environment secretary Andrea Leadsom paid a visit to the new depot of municipal vehicle hire company Collett Transport Services (CTS) in Brackley, in her South Northamptonshire constituency.

CTS is part of Northampton-based contract hire and fleet management company Specialist Fleet Services (SFS). Bob Sweetland, SFS managing director (pictured with Leadsom), along with representatives from parent company Paragon Bank, joined the team at CTS, including depot manager Allan Robinson, in meeting the minister and share the company’s plans for the future.

Leadsom said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit CTS’s depot, and to celebrate the jobs and opportunities it will provide to the area. It is great to know that the company is doing so well.

“As a keen supporter of apprenticeships as a means to provide young people with valuable skills, I will follow the company’s aspiration to take an apprentice next year with great interest.”
