LSS Waste Management, based in Leeds, has invested more than £3m in the expansion of its fleet of skip and hook loading vehicles.
The company, which delivers commercial and domestic skips, and operates a recycling centre at its Cross Green Industrial Park headquarters, has purchased 10 Scania skip loaders and two Scania hook loaders.
In addition, a further 10 skip loaders are on order for delivery later this year. The extra vehicles gives LSS a fleet of 75.
Nigel Woolford, managing director, said: “The reason I buy Scania is the overall quality of the truck. They are strong, reliable, built to last and come with first-class back up from Normanton Scania.
“On paper, £3m is a big investment but, when looked at in the context of the operational side of the business, it was the simplest of decisions to make.”
