Suez has refurbished a fleet of refuse vehicles returning from a municipal contract, with an average age of 7.3 years.
Four refuse trucks, all Mercedes Econic with Faun Variopress bodies, were handed over to remanufacturing specialist Refuse Vehicle Solutions which, after inspection, drew up a detailed scope of works to refurbish the packer assemblies and bodies. All worn parts were replaced and defects corrected before the repaired areas were repainted.
James Griffin, technical manager, fleet, at Suez, said: “We were really impressed by the attention to detail. We were even given access to a Dropbox folder that was updated daily with pictures so we could view work in progress.”
