RCVs carry recycling messages

Bin lorries are touring the streets of Hinckley and Bosworth in Leicestershire promoting the borough council’s recycling initiatives and bulky waste collections.

Using Spedian vehicle graphics panels, the fleet of 16 refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) is being turned into a cost-effective public information channel. Messages are getting a high-profile boost by being displayed on the sides of vehicles going about their collection rounds.

Spedian panels can be removed without damage or leaving any sticky residue behind. They are quick to install or remove, making it easy to switch campaigns or run seasonal campaigns.

Darren Moore, waste and business development manager, said: “Issues are brought to people’s attention because the RCVs are highly visible and travel widely.”
