Weima has added the WL600 shredder to its range for shredding any type of wood-based materials including chipboard, MDF, solid wood and hard wood.
Available through Fercell Engineering, the single-shaft shredder has a 15 or 18.5kw output, 600mm working width and a WL rotor with 14 knives. It is designed for small and medium-sized wood processing companies.
Input material is shredded between the rotor knives and a fixed counter knife. The ram is equipped with wiping strips that prevent unwanted material feed between the ram and machine casing. Chips can then be discharged by air extraction or screw conveyor.
Fercell also has available aluminium swarf shredders which can be used in conjunction with Weima briquetting machines.
They reduce material volumes, decreasing storage space and incurring lower transportation costs. Oil and other coolants can be cleaned and separated from the metal swarfs and reused.
