Software for a single system

Nottingham City Council has invested in AMCS software and mobile technology to improve the efficiency of its trade waste and recycling operation. It will enable the council to consolidate to a single system running across the entire operation including vehicles, weighbridge and back-office.

Implementation of the enterprise resource planning software, AMCS 7, will result in a single operation and invoicing system, significantly improving both efficiency and accuracy. AMCS Fleet Planner combined with mobile technology will optimise routing, increase productivity and help to realise a significant cost savings.

Daniel Ayrton, business development manager at the council, said: “It will also provide realtime data allowing us to react quickly and proactively to our customers’ needs. When consolidated and analysed, the data will play an important role in enabling us to plan for growth.”
