Speedy resident reporting to council

Mayrise, an in-cab waste management system from Yotta, has been combined with a smartphone app to help the London Borough of Newham tackle illegal rubbish dumping.

‘Love Newham’ is a free app and website that allows residents to report environmental issues such as flytipping, flyer posting, dog fouling and graffiti directly to the council.

Once downloaded the user simply takes a photograph on their phone and adds some brief details before hitting ‘send’. The information, complete with precise location of the reported incident, is then sent directly to the council.

Reports received via the app are logged and then sent to the Mayrise Waste back office system before being communicated directly to the closest crew using the Mayrise in-cab devices.
